TOP 20 SONGS OF 2005

In celebration of finally getting myself some webspace I thought it would be time for some major MP3 downloads...So I love doing lists....here`s another one....my top 20 songs of 2005...feel free to DOWNLOAD these tunes....also I know there`s waay more songs out there but these are just some of the tunes I enjoyed from 2005 (that I had in mp3 format), in no particular order....enjoy 20- WOLF PARADE - Modern World = This is my favourtie song off of Apologies To Queen Mary...I took me awhile to actually like the song but after a few listens it will get to ya. 19- ROGUE WAVE - California = A truly awesome track...listen to this one PLEASE!! 18- TRAIL OF DEAD - Worlds Apart = This song is always a good one to throw on if your in an angry mood and you feel like breaking shit. The lyrcs are maybe a bit too much @ times but its very catchy and puts me in a good mood. 17- SIGUR ROS - Gong = Its all about the drums in this one for me...Reminds me of a dream when your just floating around waiting to come down...I wish I knew what the lyrics meant! 16-VOXTROT - The Start Of Something = This song sounds like it could have been sung by Belle and Sebastian but that`s why I enjoy it so much...I definatly enjoy the Ol two step beat.. 15-NADA SURF - All Is A Game = This has to be my pick as best song on the new album..Always Love is a great tune..but you expect it to be great because its the single....All Is A Game on the other hand sneaks in later on in the album and keeps you listening the rest of the way through. 14- BLOC PARTY - Banquet = The semi Disco sound of this track is what makes this song special...plus this was the first song I`d herd from Bloc Party and I was a fan after the first listen. 13- IMOGEN HEAP - Hide And Seek = When I first herd this tune I knew exactly where it came from (The O.C..... when Kaleb Nichol dies)...and at first I found the song very sad but I don`t see it like that when I listen to it now...to me it makes me happy. 12- MANDO DIAO - All My Senses = Sounds like a Sloan tune until the singing comes in...Me and Patricia actualy saw these guys at the Horshoe earlier this yr and this song reminds me of that trip! 11-STARS - Ageless Beauty = Amy Millan`s voice gives me goosebumps when she sings "You will always be alive" 10-PANIC! AT THE DISCO - The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage = I love the mixture of sugar coated punk rock with an added twist of Techno.. 9- MINUS THE BEAR - Pachuca Sunrise = Another song with beautifull drumming....for some reason I could see myself lying on the beach in the Mediterranean listening to this song. 8-MEW - Special = In my opinion Mew always comes out with good tracks...and here`s another one from the new album...when are they gonna tour in Canada though...ahhh 7-SUPERGRASS - St Petersburg = You can tell that they used an good old stand up bass for this track...and I love the addition of the simple piano riff. 6- BLINK 182 - Another Girl, Another Planet = Yeah Blink 182 made the list...I love this song though. 5- LAURA VEIRS - Secret Someones = Probably my favourite song off of her new album...and there`s not much more to say then Download it man. 4- KINGS OF CONVENIENCE - Until You Understand = This a live track that I found this year and even though its an older song I`m still gonna add it on here because I found it in 2005 and its a phenominal song and reminds me when I went to see them at Lee`s Palace ealier this YR. 3-THE ROSEBUDS - Boxcar = Never herd of The Rosebuds until they opened up for Teenage Fanclub in Toronto...but the combo of husband and wife on vocals makes for great chemistry.. 2-ELLIOTT SMITH - Georgia = This songs creeps me out a little...When Elliott talks about suicide in this song it makes me miss his music but thankfull for what he left us...this song is taken from the leaked Basement on a Hill #2... 1-TEENAGE FANCLUB - Time Stops = Man not only did they grab the #1 album but song too...yeah Time Stops is just one of those songs that makes me smile everytime I hear it...and is probably a close second behind Coax Me for favourite song of all time.. Well that`s it...hope you enjoy...Yes there is no song of the day for today since I just gave ya friggin 20 to download...but look for all song of the day`s to be downloadable in the future! CN
