I`m Just A Pleasure Seeker...
   There comes a time in everyone`s life when you need to do something to feel alive. So having Sat night free and a little extra $ to spend I thought it would be a great idea to head to Toronto to see Brandan Benson at the Horseshoe..So I had a nap, drove to Toronto....and made it 10 minutes into Matthew Barber`s set....Barber ripped threw a few more diddy`s and a cover to finish his set...Benson took the stage right on time and opened up with some oldies....I must say I was quite impressed with the tightness of the band...and his vocals are perfect for the Horseshoe...it was really sweaty and some annoying drunk guy talked to me about how much he liked Nirvana for an hr but all in all it was a great performance...I didn`t stick around for the encore but I did stick around for "Cold Hands, Warm Heart" which was playing when I was leaving....he didn t play "Pleasure Seeker" which was disappointing and there was some loser trying to grab his guitar when he was playing but it was still an excellent show..It felt like it took days to get home because there was a snow storm abrewing and people think its safe to drive 20k on the 401...As for Friday night me and Patricia made it over to the Silvercity so we could finally watch "Walk The Line"....very very good film actually!..The p  erformances of Resse Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix are worth the price of admission alone....I thought it was interesting how they portraid Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis in the film as a bunch of drug additcs...Ok also I had a chance to preview the new Strokes album...and to be honest I havn`t givin it that much of a listen so fa but from what I`ve herd so far I`ve enjoyed.....and since I thought there last album Room On Fire was a little dissapointing...this one sounds like they have experimented with there sound a little more...The Bittorrent link for the new album can be found by clicking HERE...also I found an interesting interview with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) who has an really awesome taste in music...I was soo surprised that he has even herd of some of his fav bands....Ok now don`t be alarmed I`m going to still try and update this thing as much as possible..but for the next few weeks don`t be surprised if I don`t write that much on the weekends...Its hard to find time between working both jobs on the weekend..CN
