Brother in Conflict
 So I had a full plate of the new Voxtrot album on the weekend. After the first bite, I wasn`t too pleased. The album didn`t have that spice that the first two EP`s had, but after repeated listens I find myself liking it more and more with every listen. I don`t have a favourite yet, and I don`t think I will. The album has some great moments on it.... but there is no standout tracks like "The Start Of Something". If you are a big Voxtrot fan like myself, there is enough good material to keep ya satisfyed...having said that....the final verdict leaves me giving it a 7/10...CN   Voxtrot - Kid GlovesVoxtrot - Blood Red Blood <--First Single |

post a commentI think i have gone through it at least 8 times now. I absolutely love it. I do think they have moved on from the sound of the ep's a bit and moved into a bit more intelligent pop rather than the overly catchy pop. At this point Kid Gloves is my favorite track. Can't wait to see them in June with ya Neiles. Any word on tickets?
hahaha I actually agree with EVERYTHING Kinger said... since this CD is in my car right now I've listened to it for the past 4 days and I LOVE it!!! I wasn't too into Voxtrot before but this cd is sooo good!! I also agree that Kid Gloves is my favorite track...
I am going to see them for sure... just don't get the Natchos @ Sneeky Dee's...they suck! haha
good record, but definitely doesn't even come close to the EP's (especially Mothers)
wtf is "intelligent" pop? "overly catchy" pop was the one thing that Voxtrot truly had going for them.
i agree w/ the assessment, 7/10, whereas the first 2 EP's were an 8 (Raised By Wolves) and 9 (Mothers)
intelligent was probably the wrong word.. it was early give me a break. haha. Ya Patricia it's a must to see them at sneaky Dee's... wish i could find something on tickets being available etc.
