Magneta Lane @ CTO
Sorry about the late post today but it was a late night last night @ Call The Office. I was thinking there was going to be a whole mob of us attending last nights show but it ended up just being my buddy Luke and I....which is cool but you guys missed a good show last night. I got to CTO last night just as Tokyo Police Club was playing their last 2 songs. I must admit I wasn`t a fan of what I herd...although I didn`t hear much from them I grabbed a copy of their free demo that they were giving away, so hopefully that will change my impression of them.   Chicago`s The Reputation took the stage next who were very good and very tight as a band. They were also really really loud which was great preperation for Magneta Lane..I kinda thought that a lot of their songs sounded the same but it was kinda like listening to 30min of a good song...  Anyway`s after a little delay Magneta Lane took the stage to what seemed to be a tired London crowd...but that all changed after they started their set with "22"...I didn`t stick around for the whole set cause it was getting late but Magneta Lane was more then I was hopeing for and gave me a new way of listening to their CD..also the drummer was awesome....and was the most entertaining member of the band...if you missed the show I took a quick video with my Girlfriends camera so you can download it and see for yourself whatcha missed...the audio isn`t that great but it will give you an idea of how loud they were...For today tunes I`m leaving ya with some British acts..first the Gorlliaz and then Dirty Pretty Things...CNMagneta Lane Video Clip    Dirty Pretty Things - DeadwoodDirty Pretty Things - Doctors And Dealers Gorillaz - Kids With GunsGorillaz - Stop The Dams |
