...Finally A Post!

Yeah I`m back....sorry again...Moving on in life, tonight I will hopefully be attending Tokyo Police Club @ Call The Office (If it hasn`t sold out already). Scientists ?

Usually when a band loses a drummer a majority of people don`t even notice or care....This is not the case for the We Are Scientists. Later last year they lost drummer Micheal Tapper (who quit the band to probably go back to the job he had before he was a rock star)...which I feel has hurt them big time...I`ve had a chance to swallow the new album "Brain Thrust Mastery" and I can`t say I`m a big fan...even after repeated listens. The whole thing is not bad though, there are some songs worth mentioning (Lethal Enforcer ..awesome bass line....very 80`s). I`m not saying that its the drummer`s fault...Its just my own personal opinion...In this case I think the band lost that 3 piece magic that was on the 1st album...CN We Are Scientists - Lethal Enforcer We Are Scientists - This Scene Is Dead We Are Scientists - The Great Escape (The Silence Mix)

Mini Canadian Music Week.

I got a lil bit of a chance to check out Canadian Music Week in Toronto...Yes that`s why the lack of blogging material since last Wednesday. I didn`t go hardcore and get wristbands or see a ton of shows but I tried to see as many as I could with the time I had (Running between concerts and work)...I first got a chance to see Dog Day (In London)....who opened for Hey Rosetta!...Sorry I didn`t stay for the whole night, but I got my Dog Day shirt and hit the hay...Had to get to bed early, cause the next day was Sloan, Meligrove Band, Will Currie & the Country French, and Pony Da Look...all were totally amazing....Especially Sloan who opened up with Stood Up/ Same Ol Flame...I just wish they did more showcases with more Murder bands...Young and Old..I was also going to check out Jason Collett and Peter Elkas but the show was cancelled due to weather...CN Dog Day - Gayhorse Jason Collett - Out Of Time Sloan - Ill Placed Trust Meligrove Band - Ages & Stages

She & Him....and a Lil Art

I always knew that Zooey Deschanel had an awesome voice ever since the shower scene in Elf....but I never thought I would buy a full album by her..(and you bet your ass I will when Volume I drops on March 18).....Gotta give M. Ward credit too for the songwriting/guitar work....also I saw a very good Documentary the other night called "My Child Could Paint That"....about Marla Olmstead (now 8 years old, but 4 in the movie) an abstract painter/child protdigy who paints some very interesting art...Some of the art has been sold to many Celebs and art collectors for $1000`s of dollars.....I won`t give away any of the movie...You`ll have to see it yourself...But it raises a very good question!.....Is it art or just some kid throwing paint on a board and making a mess..CN She & Him - This Is Not A Test M.
