Moving on with more albums you should have in 2007.... APPLES IN STEREO - New Magnetic Wonder February 6 Poor Apples In Stereo have gone through a lot of lineup changes recently. New drummer, new keyboard player...and the new album hasn`t even come out yet..It will be interesting to see how the band does on their new label Simian Records (run and founded by Elijah Wood) Apples In Stereo - Same Old Drag BLOC PARTY - A Weekend In The City February 6 2007 Another album I havn`t really listened to...and its cause I don`t wanna get sick of it before it even comes out. I`m hopefully going to wait until I get a copy on vinyl before I kill it out...Hopefully.. !!! - Myth Takes March 2007 There are two electronic albums that I am looking forward to this year...This is one of them...I don`t know much about this strange little band..and the CD wasn`t my favourite on its first listen..but it has grown on me a lot lately...and I love album covers that have a lot going on in them. !!! - Heart Of Hearts !!! - Must Be The Moon LCD SOUNDSYSTEM - Sound Of Silver March 20 Like I said...There are two electronic albums that I am looking forward to this year...This is the first one..LOL..I am obsessed with "New York I Love You"...Kinda reminds me of New York and sounds like something Interpol would release.. LCD Soundsystem - New York, I Love You K that`s it...There are tons of new albums that are coming out in 2007...But I thought I would point out some of the ones I`m looking forward too...2006 was a great great year for music and is going to be tough to beat...but judging from the lineup of artists that have new CD`s coming out...2007 is going to be spectacular as well..I also am going to leave ya with two new songs from Modest Mouse and Arcade Fire, who also have new LP`s coming our way..and while I`m not too excited about these ones yet...I know most of you are...CN Arcade Fire - Intervention Modest Mouse - Dashboard My friend Susie works for Red Bull and wanted me to tell you about an exciting event that they are having called Red Bull Crashed Ice. From the press release...A combination of hockey, downhill skating and boardercross, Red Bull Crashed Ice features four skaters racing to the bottom of a 430m urban ice-course in the shadow of the Château Frontenac and overlooking a frozen Saint Lawrence River. The coursefeatures a vertical drop of over 60m and a series of whoops, jumps and the occasionalhairpin turn interrupting speeds excess of 60 km/hr A grand prize of $5,000 will be awarded to the winner, with second, third, and fourth place finishers sharing an additional $5,000. The London qualifier is on Jan. 27 and is filling up quickly! Qualifiers consist of individual speed trials on flat surface indoor and outdoor rinks testing skill, agility, strategy and strength. They only take the first 100 people with the top 10 from each site going to Quebec. The Quebec City and Montreal qualifiers filled up in a matter of minutes and the Toronto qualifier is over half full. Registration is open online at www.redbullcrashedice.ca.
