I was thinking that I needed a little more spice around here...So its simple...20 of my favourite females who rock (and by rock I mean your cute and sing for a living and possibly play an instrument or two)...oh and there in no order of importance!! 20 Alanis MorissetteDidn`t think I was a fan did ya??..Yeah well the truth is out...I think I first realized that Alantis rocked was in the Ironic video when she played everyone in the car, but with a different hair style....very cute...the lyrics for that song are still fun to think about when you hear em... 19 Jenny Lewis I know lots of others think that Jenny is a hottie as well....I read your blogs and your magazines....There`s no secret that Jenny is cute, but did you know this...Jenny made her acting debut in a Jell-O commercial, then starred as a child in a number of films during the 1980s. She was featured in the 1996 made-for-TV movie Talk To Me with Yasmine Bleeth. Three of her more notable screen credits were Troop Beverly Hills, The Wizard, and Pleasantville. She also had small roles on such TV shows as Baywatch, Golden Girls, Growing Pains, Roseanne, Mr. Belvedere, and Brooklyn Bridge. She continued acting until 2001. 18 Nina Gordon Nina (Co-founder of the band Veruca Salt) was first introduced to me back in 1994 when the video for Seether came out...Not only was the song catchy, but Nina was playing one of my favourite guitars in the video (Gibson SG) 17 Emily Hanes Singer in Metric and part time member of Broken Social Scene...that`s hot...and that`s all I have to say! 16 Kelly Crisp Ok so your probably not familiar with Kelly (and if you are bonus points for u) but she is the other half that makes up The Rosebuds. Kelly rocks cause she can really wail on the keys and....well I guess you have to see her live to understand! 15 Sarah Harmer I felt I needed to add a redhead to the list, but why does she rock?...Lets try singing with The Weakerthans for starters, singing with the Rheostatics for another...and many others.. Sarah isn`t the best looking out of the bunch but she`s a good ol canadien girl and that`s why she rocks! 14 Nina Persson Yup....from The Cardigans...Everyone wanted this her as their girlfirend after the Love Fool video came out! 13 Bif Naked WTF is what your probably asking yourself...but I dunno...maybe its the Tattoo`s...but she has her moments...and she know`s how to put on a live show.. 12 Leslie Feist This is easy...Broken Social Scene singer, solid solo release (Let It Die)...music in ads for Lacoste oh and shit..backup vocals on the last Kings Of Convenience album! 11 Jewel The reason Jewel is on here is ....cause we`ll its Jewel. Who has said that she is ugly?? NOBODY!!..and her story is an interesting one (For a time, she was poverty-stricken and lived in her van while traveling about the country busking and doing small gigs.) 10 Joanna Newsom 1-Cute!...Check 2-Plays The Harp...Check 3-Toured with with Davendra Banhart...Check There`s 3 reasons right there! 9 Isobel CampbellI was very upset with Isobel when she decided to leave Belle & Sebastian....I always enjoyed her soft voice and quirky lyrics...(she also co-wrote Legal Man which is one of my fav Belle & Sebastian songs) But she`s back now with new material (Ft Mark Lanegan) and I couldn`t be happier! 8 Sia Furler Let me take a min to introduce Sia.
