Ron Hubbard Hey Ron...Scientology Sucks! Nancy Grace Hi...I talk like everthing is a HUGE DEAL! I`ve Been Selected To Play In The Degree Poker Championship!!

Alright as some of you already know....I was chosen to participate in the Degree Poker Championship today...which is ah....kind of a big deal (said like in Anchorman) ..so what that means is that I`m going to the Niagara Fallsview Casino on May 3rd to play for a chance to win over $150,000 in prizes...kool eh...yeah I`m really really excited....also I learned today that my new favourite band of the year "Band Of Horses" are playing at Lee`s in June...so I`m hopefully gonna get tickets for that soon (cause it will probably sell out fast)...now as for today`s tracks I`ve got the new Streets album..and its growing on me, but I can`t say that its his best work...Mike Skinner (The Streets) has taken more of a cocky side to this album..with lyrics talking about how many chicks he can get now that he`s famous, and how much money he has now...while I admire his honesty... A few yrs ago I had given up on the Hip-Hop scene....not cause I didn`t like Hip-Hop anymore...its was just that the Rap scene was flooded with boreing artists and I felt like I had herd it all before...then around the winter of 2002-2003 N.E.R.D. came upon the scene with the album In Search Of... which ended up winning the Shortlist Music Prize that yr and was nominated for the Mercury Prize...this album would go onto become in my top 5 of albums of all time...and made Pharrell one of my favourite producer/singer`s...I think it was the use of "Live" drums that got me hooked... Me and Patricia had a chance to see N.E.R.D. in Detroit on April 9 2004 with The Black Eyed Peas. I remember it was in a shitty part of town and I had gotten a ticket with my album purchase to meet Pharrell...Long story short I had to wait for hrs by myself to meet him, while Patricia was outside by herself waiting (Best GF ever!)...Mr Williams told me he liked my Zoo York shirt and then I got his and Shae`s autograph (If I can find it I`ll show ya)...Now I came across what I thought was Pharrell`s new album on a Torrent site, but I don`t think it is cause I herd it was going to be a double album and the Torrent only had 10 songs...anyway`s I`ll leave ya with some of the tracks....In my opinion its not N.E.R.D....but its not B.A.D. either!...CN Pharrell Williams - Big White Spaceship Pharrell Williams - Angel Pharrell Williams Feat. Band Of "Fighting" Horses

Lots to talk about today...so try and keep up!!...Now I havn`t talked about the damn Band Of Horses yet...I know I`m an idiot...but really everyone else in the Blog world has mentioned them..yes the album is phenominal!!!....yes it might be one of my favourites...and yes I bought it on Vinyl (after hearing only one song)....so yeah I`ve herd the hype that is Band Of Horses...and I`m right on the bandwagon with ya...no idea WTF I`m talking about?...then download the tracks, you`ll see what I mean...Next up I have a little Sloan news...I visit the Sloan Official Website everyday religiously.....so I was quite giddy like a school girl when I saw these pictures of them in the studio working on new material...I love how Sloan is 50yrs old and is still rocking...ohh and you know what really grinds my gears...me and Patricia got Strokes tickets for there show at John Labbatt Center...almost $50.00 with service charges...how does $35 turn into $50??...and last but not least lets talk about the little argument that has been going on here as of lately!!....to be honest I quite enjoy that my readers are passionate about the content that I put on here...as long as it doesn`t get violent....so thanks to all of you who participated and keep up the entertaining posts!....ohh and 1 more thing....I have lots of new Hip-Hop to share with ya (new Streets and Pharrell tracks) this week so stay tuned!!!...CN Band Of Horses - The Funeral Band Of Horses - Wicked Gil Band Of Horses - The Great Salt Lake Band Of Horses - The First Song Band Of Horses - Weed Party

Deestroyeeer!

Saturday night marked my return to Lee`s Palace.....after just being there 2 weeks ago to see Rogue Wave and Nada Surf! But on this particular Saturday night it was all Destroyer....Me and my cousin drove threw 2 hrs of hail/snow/rain and actually got there right in time for Nedelle to take the stage....I must admit I thought she had a great voice and I actually enjoyed her performance. It was then time for Destroyer to play...who has an awesome keyboard player!...They played a very enjoyable set....there was no Watercolours Into The Ocean which was dissapointing and no Vinyl or Med/Large t-shirts at the merch table but overall it was a great show...here`s some of the pics... also the new EP from Ambulance LTD is really good and well worth the $8.99....7 songs and all are enjoyable...I`m really looking forward to the new material...sorry but I`m only leaving ya with 3 songs...if u want the rest go buy it for $9.00 u cheap bastards!...CN Ambulance LTD - Fearless (Live) Ambulance LTD - Arbuckle`s Swan Song Ambulance LTD - Country Gentleman
