New Things

I must admit I`ve been on a streak lately......last week I recieved a package in the mail containing my new Zune....Thanks to the wonderfull people at Microsoft...I am now the proud owner of an 8 gig Zune....and so far its kicking ass in my books...Not only does it hold twice the songs that my iPod did, but the software is pretty user friendly and easy to add songs...Plus you don`t loose all that audio (like an iPod that converts the mp3 into I love iPod format) and keep the same mp3 quality...The FM transmitter (for the car) was a little pricey but other then that I would strongly recommend the Zune.......Moving on...I also bought a Laptop (Satellite) on the weekend, which was muchly needed. Oh yeah and did I mention I bought a house!!!!!!....... we also got Oasis tickets last week for there show in London coming up...its been awhile since I saw them and I have a feeling I might be hearing a few tracks off the new album.....So yeah life is good..lol...CN Oasis -Acquiesce Oasis - The Hindu Times Oasis -Roll With It Oasis - Lyla Oasis - Live Forever Oasis - Helter Skelter Oasis - All around the World

I think I could make it! I was super excited for the new N.E.R.D. album last week....and was not super excited after my first listen...The single is pretty much the worst song these ears have ever herd....."All the girls standing in the line for the bathroom......" Really?....Pharrell what happened man?...Are people actually going to crazy for this at the clubs?....anyways the rest of the album isn`t that bad, and there`s a few tracks worth checking....But don`t bother with the Everyone Nose!....now the new Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene) single is worth your time...The new album doesn`t come out until July 22...Which I can`t wait for!....its the 2nd album to come from the whole Broken Social Scene Presents.... series....and its probably the album I look forward to getting on vinyl the most this year...CN N.E.R.D. - Everyone Nose (Girls In The Bathroom) N.E.R.D. - Yeah You Brendan Canning - Hit The Wall

Euro...and HELP....I need a Home!

The damn Euro Cup has got me hooked on Soccer lately....Seems like everyday I`m watching the games, and actually paying attention to the scores...I can`t believe the Italians beet the French yesterday...Its funny cause I don`t remember the Euro Cup being this exciting in 2004...and I love it this year...I don`t have a favourite team (although I did cheer for Italy yesterday) Just the pure excitement of the tournament is addicting!.....also I`m looking for a home in the London area....Got any ideas??...Get in touch with me!! ....Moving On...Post # 500

The new Fleet Foxes LP...is totally amazing, and right up my alley...There is quite a buzz that`s surrounding this band since the drop of their EP (Sun Giant) in February....They sound a little like Band Of Horses (minus the rock)...must be something in the Seattle water...I love it.....Also the new Weezer album is kinda good....I gave up on Weezer a few years ago, I think it was right around The Green Album period....but I thought I would give The Red Album a try, and I actually kinda like it...Its certainly an easy listen (thanks Rick Rubin) and the Pork N Beans single is very easy to sing along to after only a few listens....Also today is my #500 post...and since I was up late last night watching Micheal Moore`s "Sicko" I felt really lucky to be living in a country that has Universal Health Care...I wanna give a nod out to Tommy Douglas, who basically got the ball rolling in Canada as far as Medicare goes...CNWho Is Tommy Douglas?? I`m Back.......Some Favourites, So Far!

Wow...Finally a friggin post...after Months of nothing...!!! Totally sorry for that, I just felt it was nessasary to take a little break...So I got Married, which was amazing.....Both the ceremony and the Party...and of course the Honeymoon was fantastic....All of it when by soo fast, I have a hard time believing that it all happened.....It did though, and now its time to get back to normal life...Obviously while I was on vacation I listened to a whole heap of new music...Some of it good and some of it is total shit...My job will be to play Catch-Up on some of the fine artists that have visited my Mp3 player as of late...So this week I will be doing a little top 10, of the best music I discovered while on vacation...Each day will showcase 2 albums...CN Sloan`s new LP Parrell Play dropped on June 10....and after the first listen...I wasn`t a fan. But after a few more listens, the album has finally grown on me. Jay Ferguson has the best songs on here, while Andrew`s songs are a little boreing and sound a lil too Bob Dylan for me.... Sloan - Cheap Champagne I put the new Hold Steady album on here because the new single "Sequestered In Memphis" may be one of the best songs they have written...as for the rest of the album, who knows?...I havn`t herd that much of it...I`m gonna actually wait until it comes out on Vinyl (hopefully on July 15) to enjoy the rest....
