Yesterday`s Agenda

I have fallen in love with the new Resident Evil game for the Wii console....Its totally taken up all my time (hence the late post today). The same elements still apply....you have a gun or two that you take around with you, and shoot the shit outta zombies. The computer controls your movements. Which at first I was kinda frustrating, but now it totally suits the game, and may make it better. I did take a 5 minute break yesterday to hit up the local record store....where I found a mint copy of RUN DMC`s "Raising Hell" (the first Hip-Hop record I`d ever herd) When I say "Mint" I mean it too.....not one scratch on the Vinyl and the package looks like it was opened a week ago....Raising Hell contains the "Classic Hits" Its Tricky and Walk This Way (yes the 1 with Aerosmith)....the best part was the record was $8....I`m also gonna check out Halifax`s own Wintersleep tonight at Call The Office , so stay tuned for some pics/review.....CN Run DMC - Its Tricky Run DMC - Walk This Way Wintersleep - Drunk On Aluminium Wintersleep - Weighty Ghost

Fiery Zeppelin

I was pretty excited to learn that the Fiery Furnaces will be stopping in Toronto in Dec 12...Its at the damn Phoenix, which isn`t the best venue. But beggars can`t be choosers. Bottom line I will be attending ...I also added the new Zeppelin album to my Mp3 player. I grew up on Zeppelin like every other soul, but this album is different. I `m so used to hearing Zeppelin on vinyl or on the radio....so a double album of their hits remastered is a whole new listening experience. Today was a perfect day to listen to the new Two Minute Miracles album "Lions Of Love". The album fit in real nice with my rainy/gloomy fall day. And just like the other albums a lot of the songs are right around the 2 minute mark. Its been a long 4 years since the last record, but I`m so glad the wait is finally over......It was definitely worth the wait too, the record is awesome and out of the 16 tracks I probably didn`t dig 2 of them. Great Shows This Weekend...

What a weekend.....I was super excited to see The Drones and Band Of Horses on Friday night....Everything was going smooth too....had the day off, left early, weather looked good....until we got 45 outside of T.O. It was raining super hard and traffic was at a stand still....We ended up missing The Drones and caught the last of the Band Of Horses set. Which totally sucked cause The Drones reps had givin me free passes....anyway`s I didn`t get any photos except some silly shots beside the BOH tour bus......It was still a pretty good show though....another good show was Square Root Of Margaret, who I happened to catch at The Wick.....I`m totally diggin their new record. It contains the usual space rock riffs and it may be their most solid record yet. In the mood for some new music today?....Then check this band called The Whiles out....I didn`t have any info at all on these guys, but I found this on their website... "The Whiles. I feel like I havn`t even had 2 minutes to think lately....First Guitar Hero 3 entered our house and totally consumed both my mind and time.....then we had a Cat come and stay with us for a night....Long story, we basically babysat it....until it shit all over the place...I also managed to make it out to see Two Hours Traffic and Joel Plaskett on Sunday and Monday night....oh and to top it all off my site was shut down...Make sure you get the new track from These New Puritans...I`m really looking forward to the new album (set to drop in 2008)...Wish I had more time to type....but I gotta jet...its my anniversary today! Nirvana DVD & Jay Z.

Yeah I was one of those guys who wore their hair long, had plaid and listened to Nirvana....I`m actually really excited for the DVD...and its about friggin time. Did anyone not realize that they could have made a killing years ago? Why has it taken so long for the DVD to come out?....anyway`s I loved the CD when I was young so I`ll be getting this for sure when it drops on Nov 19...the extra`s are: 2 additional tracks not originally broadcast: "Oh Me" and "Something In The Way" (available on the CD) Behind the scenes documentary with band interviews 4 tracks from pre-show rehearsals I`m also really excited for the new Jay Z album/soundtrack...I wasn`t a big fan of the last one, but the Hype around "American Gangster" has got me giddy like a young kid....I also read that NAS is going to be featured on a track...Which should be interesting considering their history...CN Nirvana - Come As You Are Nirvana - Dumb Nirvana - Something In The Way Jay-Z - Blue Magic Jay - Z - Hard Knock Life (The Ghetto Anthem)
